Why you should ditch all salt for Himalayan Salt

I’ve just learnt this fascinating thing, is that common salt has most of its minerals and nutrients removed, thus it’s all white. Kind of like the white sugar.

However, Himalayan salt is completely the opposite. It’s unrefined, natural, without any addictives, and have a lot of natural minerals. You can probably tell by its pink colour, that it’s one of the most pure salts of all.

What Himalayan Salt looks like:

                       (In small crystals)
                        (In large stones)

Himalayan Salt has 84 Minerals, yes – 84!

These include: actinium, aluminum, antimony, arsenic, astatine, barium, beryllium, bismuth, boron, bromine, cadmium, calcium, carbon, cerium, cesium, chlorine, chromium, cobalt, copper, dysprosium, erbium, europium, fluorine, francium, gadolinium, gallium, germanium, gold, hafnium, holmium, hydrogen, indium, iodine, iridium, iron, lanthanum, lead, lithium, lutetium, magnesium, manganese, mercury, molybdenum, neodymium, neptunium, nickel, niobium, nitrogen, osmium, oxygen, palladium, phosphorus, platinum, plutonium, polonium, potassium, praseodymium, protactinium, radium, rhenium, rhodium, rubidium, ruthenium, samarium, scandium, selenium, silicon, silver, sodium, strontium, sulfur, tantalum, tellurium, terbium, thallium, thorium, thulium, tin, titanium, uranium, vanadium, wolfram, yttrium, ytterbium, zinc and zirconium.

Sadly – these minerals are not even really present in sea salts, which can also be polluted.

Where can you buy Himalayan Salt?

I have seen them in health food stores that sell some of the most top quality, organic foods (these stores usually also have vitamins and stuff). HimalaSalt is a great brand!

You can also buy them easily through Amazon
.
If you live in the US, you may also be able to find it in Trader Joe’s.

I really urge you to buy Himalayan salt if you love having salt in your diet, as it’s just so much more healthier!
