Coconut Oil and Honey Hair Mask for Lustrious Shiny Hair
(I’m really not going gray, the lighting just makes it seem that way!)
Last week, I went to take photos outside and was thinking: Hmm I want to make my hair look better, I heard stuff about how good coconut oil is, so why not?
I am in love with this new hair mask and it has made my hair shiny, smooth and glowing for so much longer! I will share with you exactly how I do my hair routine.
You will need:
2 tablespoons of coconut oil
1 tablespoon honey
Put both of them in a bowl.
Mix it very well with a spoon. The honey may be sinking at the bottom, but that’s alright.
First thing you need to do is go to the sink and wet your hair.
After your hair is wet, apply the oil and honey on your hair, try and reach every part, particularly the scalp.
Once all the mixture is in, give yourself a scalp massage and wait for about 20 minutes.
Go into the shower and use a good quality soap (my favourite is Carley’s Clear and Smooth Shea Butter soap) and rub it all over your hair. This will help get most of the oil out. Do a lot of scrubbing and let the bubbles form.
Give it a rinse and apply your usual shampoo. Do that, scratch your scalp and make sure you form more big bubbles!
Feel your hair. If it still feels a bit oily, use the soap once more. If not, rinse and dry your hair.
Once it dries, you’ll likely feel the difference from before!
I recommend giving your hair an oil and honey treatment once every week. It just feels so nice afterwards, you have to try it!
