Healthy Vegan Garlic Bread


(Yields: 1 loaf, Serving: 2, Prep time: 15 mins, Cook time: 45 mins)


  • 1 loaf freshly cooked multigrain whole wheat bread
  • 10 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • A sprinkle of Himalayan/sea salt
  • A drizzle balsamic vinegar


Bake a loaf of whole wheat bread. If you really don’t have time or ingredients, you can use store bought bread.

Preheat oven to 350°F (176°C).

Peel the garlic and place it in aluminum foil.

Wrap it up into a ball.

Bake in the oven for about 35-40 minutes until garlic is very soft.

At this point, don’t turn the oven off yet.

In a bowl, add a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil, a sprinkle of salt and add the garlic cloves in.

Use a spoon to mash it.

Turn the oven off.

Drizzle the paste over the bread.

Put it in the warm oven (that’s turned off) for about 5 minutes.

Take it out and drizzle some balsamic vinegar and serve.
