Be Careful with Store Bought Shampoo or Facewash with Toxic Chemicals

Are you using store bought shampoo or facewash?

It’s time to be very careful with them. I didn’t realise this until recently, but I kept getting this horrible pain in my eyes, about once every week. For some reason, the pain was mainly my right eye, and it constantly felt sore. I tried many things like eye-drops or massage, and nothing helped. I kept wondering what made it come about once a week? The pain would sometimes last about 2-3 days.

Then I suddenly realised.

The pain almost always came after I washed my hair, and once a week, I would use shampoos like Pantene. Right after that, my eyes would start aching.

Then I tried using the store bought facewash like Clean & Clear morning energy skin brightening daily facial wash, and my eyes had almost the same problem. It also ached for a few days!

So I decided to do a little experiment. I had a bar of Shea butter soap, made from nothing but natural ingredients (which you can get on Carley’s Clear and Smooth) and I used it for my face and hair. So instead of turning to those store bought facewash and shampoo, I now fully use natural soaps.

My eyes has not ached at all till this day!

I was getting very worried about m eyes as I didn’t like to constantly live in pain, especially when it’s happening to such an important part of my body which may even affect my vision.

Then, a few days later I read on another website that store bought shampoo and facewash often contain a lot of toxic chemicals that can put our health at risk, and we don’t even realise it. Chemicals which are dangerous can include: Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Formaldehyde, Phthalates, Methylisothiazoline and Parabens. Sometimes, these chemicals are even disguised in the labels so we don’t realise it. Would they ever tell us? Of course not!

Also, sulfates are irritants, so that may be a big reason why my eyes were aching!

So, it’s important that we stay away from it, especially for the sake of our eyes. You may not get pains, but that may just be in due time. I was fine all these years but now, my eyes finally cracked and refused to take anymore of it.

What should you do if you’re dependent on store bought shampoo or facewash?

Get natural soap like I did, it was the best thing I discovered. It felt so great and smooth on the skin and made my hair and face feel amazing.

You can also make your own natural shampoo by combining baking soda with lemon juice, vinegar and such.
