What I learned in August 2013

These are some life lessons I’ve learnt during the month of august. This will help me remember everything, and help give some insights to you.

I’ve Learn That…

Life begins with the food you put in your mouth.

Happiness sometimes isn’t something you can just “think”, but a lot of it has to do with your health and what you’re eating, because if you’re not getting the nourishment your body needs to send the correct signals, then how can you even try thinking positive?

You can make yourself feel better simply by self talking, and giving yourself positive affirmations.

You can feel better looking by eating well, because it gives you a glow from the inside, whereas anything you do on the external merely tries to cover up. When you’re healthy from the inside, you will shine and feel so darn good, that you don’t know what hit you.

You can fail, but that doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing. It means you’ve learned something, that you can even use to help someone else avoid making the same mistake.

People are not mind readers, often you may feel a certain way about someone but unless you say it, they won’t know.

If you really want your dreams to happen, you must first decide, “YES I’m gonna do it!”, then prepare, get excited, and when the opportunity comes, GO FOR IT!

A big part of humour comes from randomness, things that someone isn’t expecting. Such as, a good surprise!

Sometimes, we don’t do something because we feel we can’t, but that’s just an imagination, because you are so much more than that.

Spelt flour is a brilliant, delicious flour for baking cakes.

Ground up rice can be such a delicious, thick soup/sauce for all types of things, and that does not taste anything like regular rice. You really have to try it to see what it’s like.

Cooking and evaporating water from grapes make such a perfect sweetener for chocolate cakes.

You can totally mix vegetables (cauliflower, carrots, etc) into desserts and still have it taste amazing.

If you live eating fresh, organic and plant based foods (particularly when a lot of it is raw), your skin will freaking turn to gold, well not literally but it will be so good that you may not even get hormonal acne anymore!

I literally can’t live without Vitamix.

Sometimes, the key to being positive is simply by catching negative thoughts and turning them around, by focusing on the positive so much that you literally have no time to think of the negative.

We should never take our health for granted, because we never know what will happen.

The more we do things we want to accomplish in life, the less we’re afraid of death, because you’re living with absolute no regrets.

Emotions do their best to help protect you from harm or danger. I’ve learnt to trust it, understand it, know it’s here for a purpose, and not beat myself up because I feel something. We were born with our emotions, we didn’t chose it. Why should we feel guilty for our emotions when it’s there to help us survive?

We shouldn’t be afraid to interact with others. You may feel like a bother, but the other person may be waiting for it!

You feel better about yourself when you can be an inspiration to others.
